Andy n Judy's trip to

Central and Southwestern China

visiting provinces of Hunan, Sichuan and Yunnan

In the fall of 2007 Andy and I took a 16 day tour of central and southwestern part of China. We explored some of the national parks - away from the populated metropolitan areas which means traveling by plane to get from place to place, in fact there were six air flights within China. The breath-taking beauty of the countryside and nature preserves made an everlasting and memorable impression on us. We went in late October just when autumn was setting in and the foliage was turning color which makes for some awesome scenery.

We flew from San Francisco to Beijing where we began our tour and it ends in Guangzhou where we took a shuttle to Hong Kong and flew back to San Francisco. The tour had a complement of 32, but not all of us had the same itinerary so midway on the tour there were reduction to our group when tour members depart to continue on their own itinerary. By the end of the tour in Hong Kong, Andy and I were by yourselves!!
